Our Classrooms

St. Angela's Preschool offers four classrooms, grouped by age and developmental stages.  Our classrooms are outfitted with age-appropriate materials to allow for a balance of self-initiated and teacher-directed activities.  Each classroom has two teachers and typical classroom ratios are 1:8 (average).

Teachers arrange their curriculum in two-week themes to keep children engaged and actively learning. All aspects of the curriculum build a strong foundation for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Our preschool has two playgrounds that are designed with play structures, equipment and activities specifically for ages 2 to 6 years old.

Sea Turtle

Sea Turtles are our youngest students, those who are newly two years old.  This class is often a child’s first introduction to school and focuses on supporting children as they adjust to routines and classroom rules, socialize and make new friends, learn the basics to circle time, and so much more.

Sea Otter

Sea Otter students typically turn 3 during the school year.  This classroom focuses on name recognition, early letter sounds, imaginary play, forming friendships and peer bonds, and counting.

Seahorse

For children 3.5-4.5 years old, the Seahorse classroom has an equal balance between teacher-directed and play-based learning.  Children are taught letters and sounds through Zoophonics and movement.

Dolphin

Dolphins are our oldest students and this classroom prioritizes kindergarten readiness skills and social-emotional development.
